Eddie Lin is running for Seattle City Council to champion the issues that really matter to the South End.
Eddie is dedicated to uplifting communities through public service, a value he learned from his parents. His father spent his life researching Alzheimer's, strokes, and autism, and his mother is a lifelong social worker and therapist, something she continues to this day at age 85. Eddie is frustrated by the lack of action on the crises impacting the South End, including public safety, affordability, homelessness, and struggling public schools. After decades of oppression through redlining and segregation, employment discrimination, and a systemic lack of investment, it’s time for a leader who shows up, listens and who will empower South End residents and businesses to help our community thrive.
Eddie needs our help to ensure the South End is no longer ignored. He’s not backed by the super-rich or mega-corporations, he’s counting on you.
To qualify for Seattle's Democracy Voucher program he needs 150 signatures and donations of just $10 or more from Seattle residents. Will you pitch in to help ensure our grassroots movement has the support it needs to succeed?
Eddie’s vision for our community
Seattle should be a place where everyone can afford to live and thrive. Whether it's seniors on fixed incomes, new families putting down roots, or students working hard to build their future, our city needs to be more affordable and accessible.
Right now, skyrocketing costs are driving out our neighbors, forcing small businesses to close, and putting a strain on our public schools. We need bold leadership to tackle affordability head-on, so Seattle remains a city where working families, entrepreneurs and future generations can succeed.
For nearly a decade Eddie has served as an Assistant City Attorney for the Office of Housing, rolling up his sleeves to address the affordability crisis head on. He’s the only candidate with extensive affordable housing experience and will hold City leaders accountable - just like he has as he supported the construction of thousands of units of affordable housing across the entire city
